jody tissier, who broke a million little indie-rock hearts yesterday when she married ryan groff (after asking him, last year on his birthday, to marry her). their wedding was simple and sweet. darrin drda officiated and ryan sang to jody in front of all of us, underneath the bright blue sky, as people floated by in paddleboats behind them. before he sang he talked about how he always thought that relationships could be just okay and you stayed in them because that’s just what you do, and then came this tiny woman named jody.
afterwards we all ate fruit and cheese and cupcakes in the sun, then stayed up late drinking wine and dancing barefoot in their backyard. it was gorgeous and fun and perfect. everything a wedding day should be.
